About me:
My name is Marlana Perry, and I have been teaching high school English since graduating from MSU Denver in Spring of 2015. I am extremely excited to be joining the team at Lakewood High School. My goal is to guide students to become better writers, readers, and thinkers. I believe that while learning should be challenging, it should also be enjoyable. The English classroom is the perfect place to explore what we are passionate about and think deeply about things that interest us at the same time as exploring new ideas to broaden our perspective.
I have been married for 3 years, and we had our first baby in June 2016. We are loving parenthood and when I am not teaching, you can find me spending time with my family, relaxing with a good book or a fun Netflix show, or going to the theater to see a play. I am also currently pursuing my Master's in education, and I will graduate this summer.
